Beth Claxton, MD, Ob/Gyn
For 25 years, Dr. Claxton has practiced as an Obstetrician-Gynecologist. She completed her medical school training at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and OB/GYN residency at Creighton University in Phoenix. Her medical training was peppered with third-world medical experience in Mexico, Fiji, and Zimbabwe, as well as studying in a nationalized medical environment in Auckland, New Zealand.
Understanding the importance stress plays in health, she studied and teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, completed her Yoga Health Coaching certification, and teaches/coaches the Ayurvedic practices of Dinacharya (daily rhythms).
In 2020, Dr. Claxton became an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner and has enjoyed blending all of her training at her Functional Medicine practice in Flagstaff, AZ. She is excited to bring the Menopause Method into her Gynecology and Functional Medicine practice. State licensures include Arizona and Washington.
Dr. Claxton enjoys spending time with her two young-adult daughters, running, cycling, swimming, meditating, cooking, reading, playing piano, ballroom dancing, and practicing yoga.
