Frank J. Nordt, Ph.D.
Frank J. Nordt, Ph.D., is Director and CEO of Rhein Consulting Laboratories. A native of Germany, Dr. Nordt emigrated to the United States as a child. He earned undergraduate honors in both chemistry and German at the University of Illinois Chicago and received the Ph.D. in biophysical chemistry from Oregon Health Sciences University with a dissertation exploring flow properties of red blood cells. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the prestigious Max Planck Institute in Munich, he conducted research in drug development at Sandoz (now Novartis) in Basel, Switzerland, focusing on immediate treatment for stroke.
Recruited by his alma mater, Dr. Nordt returned to the United States and established Rhein Consulting Laboratories. Choosing to devote his efforts to Rhein Labs, he soon began work on creating an accurate, reproducible, clinically relevant assay measuring sex and adrenal hormones. His success has made Rhein’s assay the gold standard in the field, with Dr. Nordtrecognized as a thought leader in the field.
Today, with more than 35 years of experience in the areas of experimental, clinical and analytical biochemistry, pharmacology, and endocrinology, Dr. Nordtremains active in research funded by sources including the National Institutes of Health (NIH)and has published widely in reputable scientific journals.He is personally active in Rhein Labs’ analytical process and dedicated to providing clear, consistent information and interpretation in the field of hormone health for women and men of all ages.
